Description

Ernesto Paredes is the founder and Director of Tacuzcalco Fundation in El Salvador, Latin America. His restoration career started at his early 16 years, and he continues engaging local rural and urban communities in environmental and restoration activities. He is also the GLFx Plan de Amayo coordinator and combines his roles with a strong activitism for social and climate justice in the Plan de Amayo region. Ernesto holds a master's degree in sustainable local development, graduated from the University of El Salvador, and has extensive experience in knowledge management and community engagement processes. He is also a professor of social sciences.

GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM (GLF)

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
