Where will the conference take place?
The conference will take place at the CIFOR-ICRAF campus in Nairobi, Kenya, and online. The conference platform will be open three weeks before the conference (from 19 September). 
What is the official time zone of the conference?
UTC+3 (Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Istanbul). The agenda will be displayed in the time zone set on your computer.
When is the conference?
The event officially begins on 11 October and ends on 12 October.
Is the conference free?
ONLINE TICKETS: You can pay what you want to attend GLF Nairobi online. You can choose to attend for free, or buy a solidarity online pass for €9, €20 or €50. Your support will help us continue to grow the movement for sustainable landscapes and amplify voices that would otherwise go unheard.
 IN-PERSON TICKETS: We do not offer free tickets to join in person. However, we offer special discounts for residents of the Global South* involved with a community-based organization or NGO, as well as youth up to age 35. In-person tickets for one day are priced between €29 and €149 until 11 September, and between €39 and €249 thereafter. *Including low-income, lower-middle-income, and upper-middle-income economies according to the World Bank.
Which day is my ticket valid for?
With an online ticket, you will be able to attend both days of the conference (11 and 12 October).
When purchasing an in-person ticket, you will have the option of attending on 11 October, 12 October, or both days
I have an in-person ticket. Can I also join the conference online?
Yes, you will be able to join us in person or online for all sessions on the day(s) specified on your ticket.
How can I access the conference?
If you have an online ticket, you can join us via the online conference platform, which will be open on 19 September.

What internet speed do I need to join the conference online?
As this event is a mix of live and pre-recorded sessions, we recommend a download speed of at least 1.5 Mbps. You can check on the status of your own connection by running an internet speed test, which will provide you with a measurement for both download and upload speeds. If you’ll be streaming sessions using mobile data, pay careful attention to the download speed, as this is the data you’ll be using.
Is there a mobile app for the conference? 
No. The conference platform will be web-based only. However, if you’d like to follow the conference on your mobile phone or tablet, you’re in luck – the webpage can be viewed on all devices. 
How can I set up event notifications?
You can turn notifications on and off on the conference platform by navigating to My Profile > My Information > My Notifications.
How can I set my networking preferences?
You can change your networking preferences on the conference platform by navigating to My Profile > My Information > My points of interest.

How do I claim a certificate of participation?  
You will need to complete the post-event general participant survey, which will be available shortly after the event, to qualify for a certificate of participation. These will be issued in PDF format via your registered email to all who qualify. Please make sure to fill in your full name correctly in the survey, as this is the name that will be displayed on your certificate.
