Head of Programmes Agriculture and Forestry Value Chains

Description

Christina heads the programme on Strengthening Agriculture and Forestry Value Chains at ADA Microfinance, a Luxembourg based NGO with global outreach, with the overall objective for small, family-run farms and businesses to secure their economic resources. Since 2022, ADA supports the strengthening of forestry value chains, through support to small forest owners and wood processing SMEs in Guatemala, pursuing the double objective of enhanced resilience and environmental sustainability. Christina has developed and implemented solutions to foster sustainable development through agronomic and environmental R&D, environmental policy support and corporate sustainability management. She holds a PhD in plant ecophysiology from SupAgro Montpellier, a trinational Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Upper Rhine Universities in France, Germany and Switzerland and a postgraduate certificate in sustainable development and environmental management from the School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS) of the University of London.
