Description

Mr. Touré is the acting country representative for CIFOR-ICRAF Mali country office. M. Touré has almost 20 years of experience working for CIFOR-ICRAF Sahel Node. He has experience in sustainable rural development, natural resources management, drylands ecosystem restoration. Prior to his current position, Mr. Touré participated in several initiatives in the Sahel aiming at increasing the resilience of communities living on degraded landscapes, through the adaptation of proven soil restoration practices and soil and water conservation technologies. M. Touré’s current activities concentrate on identifying the constraints to the adoption of existing restoration technologies, and promoting a local, contextual approach to drylands restoration.

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
