GLF Nairobi 2023

Restoration Academy

Description

The Restoration Academy is a workshop series that aims to connect local and national implementing organisations to the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) and grow the global #GenerationRestoration movement. The workshop sessions include an array of topics relevant for impactful ecosystem restoration implementation and provide space for knowledge exchange, peer-to-peer learning and networking. The Restoration Academy was developed by several projects from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) with funding from the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, the BMUV, through Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI). Editions of the Restoration Academy have taken place with participants from Central America, and East and West Africa. Eight of the participating organizations are presenting their work and experiences in two GLF Nairobi conference sessions.
Here are the contact details of the speakers participating in the sessions.

Feel free to reach out to them if you have any questions about the sessions, or their organizations' work: If you would like to learn more about the Restoration Academy, please look at our UN Decade News publications:
