Description

Irene Baños Ruiz is a Spanish multimedia journalist focused on environment and climate change. Since 2016 she has been a regular contributor to the environment section of Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany's international broadcaster, and is currently involved in developing DW Akademie's communication strategy on media and information literacy and environmental journalism in Latin America. She also works as a trainer, lecturer and writer for various media and institutions. She is the author of the book Ecoansias (Ariel, 2020) and co-author of Accionistas del Cambio (BoldLetters, 2022) and Che cosa è la bioeconomia (Edizioni Ambiente, 2019).

GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM (GLF)

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress. It is led by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), in collaboration with its co-founders UNEP and the World Bank and Charter Members.
