Description

Yoko is an M.Sc. Environmental Biology recent graduate who specializes in Environmental Policy. She is involved in Youngo in various initiatives, such as leading the Nature Working Group as a Contact Point and involving the Ocean Working Group as the Director of International Affairs. Yoko is a feminist activist who is part of the Women's Caucus for the UN CBD and a Policy Coordinator with the Canadian Youth Biodiversity Network. Yoko has been involved with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration Youth Task Force with the UNMGCY-UNEP, as well as organizations that are tied to the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. As a systematic thinker, she educates and raises awareness of climate action from all perspectives.

GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM (GLF)

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
