Description

Georges Bazongo is an agronomist and environmentalist with over 24 years of experience in development. He is currently the Director of Programmes for Tree Aid (www.treeaid.org ). He used to work for national NGOs and Projects as well as Self Help Africa from grassroots to management and leadership roles. His areas of expertise are agroforestry, sustainable natural resource management, ecosystems restoration and management, agricultural value chains, conservation agriculture, restoration of degraded lands and forests, project and program management and organizational development.

GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM (GLF)

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress. It is led by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), in collaboration with its co-founders UNEP and the World Bank and Charter Members.
