Description
Amy Duchelle is a Senior Forestry Officer and Team Leader of Forests and Climate at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Amy joined FAO in July 2021 from the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesia where she led the Climate Change, Energy and Low Carbon Development Team, and before that was based in Brazil for many years. She holds a Ph.D. in Tropical Forestry from the University of Florida and has published extensively on forestry, climate change and livelihood issues. She was named one of the Global Landscapes Forum’s ‘16 Women Restoring the Earth’ in 2020.
