Description

Kantuta Conde is an Aymara woman from the Plurinational State of Bolivia. She advocates for Indigenous Peoples' rights, particularly for the rights of Indigenous women and youth. She has approved for the young indigenous perspective as a member of the Red de Jóvenes Indígenas de Latino America y el Caribe (RED-LAC) in UN mechanisms such as the UNPFII and UNFCCC. The RED-LAC regional platform of Indigenous youth promotes Indigenous youth participation in decision-making processes at the national, regional and international levels. She is a law student at the Universidad Mayor de San Andres. Cantuta is part of the International Land Coalition Future Leaders Fellowship.

GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM (GLF)

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress. It is led by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), in collaboration with its co-founders UNEP and the World Bank and Charter Members.
