Description

With M.Sc. of Forest Ecology and B. of Environmental Science, Ms. Li Yanxia, Senior Officer of Global Programme, has joined International Bamboo and Rattan Organisation (INBAR) in 2008. She is managing most projects in China and backstopping for overseas projects in Africa. The projects cover topics on bamboo for sustainable livelihood, landscape restoration, green trade, bioenergy, carbon, species selection and biodiversity conservation. She has over 14 years’ experience in the areas of ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation, rural livelihood security and landscape restoration, sustainable development of bamboo value chains etc. Her current research interests include the potential of bamboo forest management and bamboo products for mitigation and adaptation to climate change, multifunctional landscapes, and plastics alternatives.
