Description
Pablo Pacheco is WWF’s Global Forests Lead Scientist, based in Washington DC, the United States. He supports WWF’s Global Science Team and the Forest Practice that coordinates forest conservation actions across the globe. He is a Senior Research Associate at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), Bogor, Indonesia. He holds a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Geography at Clark University, a M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and a B.A. in Sociology. His main research areas focus on the governance of forests, drivers and responses to deforestation, landscape transformation, sustainable and inclusive value chains, and sustainable development.
