Farming for the Future
Sue Ogilvy is a researcher and practitioner of natural capital accounting focusing on farm level. She is passionate about enabling farmers with the information they need to optimize environmental performance alongside farm productivity, profitability and sustainability. Her research and consulting have focused on enabling farmers and their advisors to consider ecosystems (natural capital) as part of their asset base. Her vision is of development of an open natural capital accounting standard that forms a foundation for social and environmental-economic improvements in agriculture and investment in natural capital. She is presently supporting several projects around Australia that involve farmer-led design of natural capital accounting and reporting.
