Description

Stig Traavik is Director of Climate, Environment & Renewable Energy in Norad – the Norwegian Govt Agency for Development Cooperation. He is a former Ambassador to Indonesia and has more than 25 years of international diplomatic experience in Indonesia, Afghanistan, Ivory Coast, and the UN/WTO. Stig was a Special Envoy for Norway's International Forest and Climate initiative from 2018-2020. He has also worked in venture capital in Southeast Asia, and he is a six-time national judo champion, representing Norway in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992.

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
