This short documentary explores the rewilding work at Godney Marshes on the Somerset Levels. The project, led by Alasdair Cameron, explores a hands-off and community-based approach to rewilding. In the film, together with Alasdair and his lead ecologist Pete, a conversation is developed to find out what the levels could look like if we gave nature space to return.
This film was made externally from the Somerset Wildlands project team; therefore, it is not an internal production.
Take action with Godney Marshes
Join the movement, and let’s bring wildness back to the Somerset Levels. All money raised will be used to buy and manage land for the benefit of wildlife, to promote the rewilding of the area, and to cover the essential running costs of the organisation. Land costs about £1 per square metre, so every £4000 will allow us to buy roughly 1 acre for rewilding.
