IUFRO's Global Forest Expert Panels (GFEP) Programme provides a mechanism for effectively communicating information and scientific expertise to governments and intergovernmental processes related to forests and trees. The core of the Programme are objective and independent scientific assessments of key issues of high concern, supporting more informed decision-making at the regional and global level. GFEP is currently preparing the final report of an assessment of the latest available knowledge on the effects of REDD+ implementation. A video showcasing the preliminary findings of this assessment can be found below, and some of the lead authors of the assessment are available in this booth to answer any questions (see the schedule below). The report is expected to be published during the first half of 2022.

GLF GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
