Description

Jene Thomas is currently serving as the Mission Director of USAID/Peru. He has worked for the Agency for 22 years; his most recent assignments include USAID/Haiti Mission Director (2016-2019) and Director of the Office of Caribbean Affairs in Washington, DC (2014-2015). Throughout his USAID career, Mr. Thomas has specialized in issues relating to democracy, governance, and human rights. Mr. Thomas earned a B.A. in Geology at the University of Texas at Austin. He also studied Public Policy at the University of Maryland and Environmental Management and Sustainable Development at the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City.
