Description

Washe is a Land Governance specialist with a background in Geospatial Information Systems and over nine years of experience in implementing projects and programs aimed at improving livelihoods through sustainable management of land and land-based resources. Prior to joining TMG, he was a Land Technical Specialist for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (Kenya Country Office), supporting the implementation of the EU-funded Land Governance Programme. He also writes and is a frequent contributor to the Business Daily’s Op-Ed section, with his articles informing discussions on land governance, sustainable development and other social issues.

GLOBAL LANDSCAPES FORUM (GLF)

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
