Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO)
Description
Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) is a youth-led, gender-balanced advocacy group, (a non-governmental organization) registered under the laws of Ghana which focuses largely on environmental sustainability and community development with the core aim of carrying out research and providing solutions to pressing environmental issues through youth empowerment, skills development and public education; working directly with local communities to reduce the vulnerability of groups that are at risk to climate impacts. Over the years, our work has been in diverse thematic areas including Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction and Circular Economy with the ultimatum of creating a balanced relationship between humans and the various natural systems on which they depend in such a way that all the components are accorded a proper degree of sustainability.
