Bio

Elvira Lefting is Managing Director at Finance in Motion, a global leader in impact investing with over EUR 3.2 billion in assets under management/advisory and 250 employees in 16 countries. She oversees the strategic direction of impact funds, particularly with regard to investment activities, technical assistance operations, and regional company offices. Elvira has devoted her career exclusively to development finance, combining financial sector development and capacity building with the objectives of agricultural development and the green and blue economy. She began her professional career in 1998 in Russia at German development consultancy IPC before moving to the EBRD, the China Development Bank, and then KfW Development Bank. In early 2010, she was appointed Managing Director at Finance in Motion.

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
