Bio

Sebastian De la Hoz is the Managing Director of Green Balam Forests. He has spent over 10 years managing forest conservation and restoration projects in the Maya Biosphere Reserve in Peten, Guatemala. He is also a wildlife and archeology tour guide and has experience in forming strategic partnerships from a community to international level. He focuses on developing restoration initiatives that have sustainable financial investment opportunities, using a resilient ecological and economic business model.

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is the world’s largest knowledge-led platform on integrated land use, dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Climate Agreement. The Forum takes a holistic approach to create sustainable landscapes that are productive, prosperous, equitable and resilient and considers five cohesive themes of food and livelihoods, landscape restoration, rights, finance and measuring progress.
